Restored power. ???
Some time ago I posted a question here about my '97 losing power and thought it was a back pressure problem. With your guideance I elimated that idea. I haven't pulled the trailer since then, until this weekend. Before, I had the peddle mashed to the floor to run 55-60 on the level. Now it ran 65-70 with the peddle depressed about 3/4-1" on the same run. The only thing I did to it was clean out the small screen in the fuel filter with a Q-Tip. It had quite a bit of black gook in it. Would that cut the power that much? What does that line with the screen feed? I've been using Dieselkleen. It seemed to start to bog down a little after 50 miles but The tranny is overdue @ 35,000 for it's first fluid change and I thought maybe the fluid wasn't doing it's job or worse that the transmission was the original cause. The truck is stock and has 57,000 miles and the E4od was replaced @18,000 mi. .
