jerks when giving gas

jerks when giving gas

can anyone please tell me what might be wrong with my truck, it is a 82 f-100 w/ a 351-w and c-6 transmission. the truck runs real good until i try to give it about half throddle then it will jerk real hard if i put it to the floor it will get past the jerk and go on. any ideas on what to check? thanks

it's just a stock motor with a 2 barrel carb.

Has the carb ever been rebuilt? If not, then now might be a good time. Also check the fuel pump and the fuel filter.

the carb is only been on the truck for 6 months bought it at advance auto. i had to replace the fuel pump 2 months ago along with fuel filter. do you think this could be choke related? mornings are the worst
