i found a buddy who has a 8inch skyjacker lift he wants to get rid of. he is asking $800 for it and im pretty sure its brand new. what size tires would yall run with this set up. it would be goin on my 03 psd extended cab short bed. i was kinda leaning along the lines of a 37 but have seen some with 36's and 38's. also what should i expect from lifting it and putting such a large tire on there. do i need to worry about regearing? is it absolutely necessary? is there anything i need to worry about when doing this?
I have a 94 f-150 and i put a 6 inch suspension and 3 inch body lift into mines and i have 38.5 on my truck they fill the wheel wells very nice if i hit a bump to hard it might rub.
Id run 35s or a bit higher if your goin to run it on the road or off as far as re-gearing yeah you will notice a large differance. i think my gears are around 350s and its doggy as heck im looking into regear mines but im building mines for offroad play so as what gear im not sure what you need im goin for 5.38 so prolly around 4.10s or 4.56 it all depends what your looking for
well right now im already running 35 bfg at's on the factory wheels. you can fit 35's stock on a 250 but they rub on the leaf springs when the wheel is turned to full lock. we ended up putting a 2.5 leveling kit on there this summer and the tires dont run now. thanks for your input.
