I read somewhere that a good excercise is to make a list of 50 things you would like to do in your life, ranging from things that are very likely, to pie-in-the-sky dreams. I won't bore you with all mine: learn to type, learn sign language, have a book published, get a patent, build a car around my flathead V-8, build my own house, etc. One item is to finish the list! I've gotten a few done, but have a long way to go,. I avoid things that are truly impossible (compete in the Olympics? I'm too old) I group them in likely, do-able, and pipe dreams. But, if I won the lottery, 'build my own house' would go from pipe dream to likely overnight! What do you want to do?
Out of debt is one of the big ones, then to finacial security.
I've hiked sections of the A/T in West Virginia and Virginia. Not likely to finish it.

All said and done.....
I'd be happy knowing I lived a decent life, and be a great husband & father.
The rest is just stuff I'd llike to experiance.
FL Gargoyle: I took American Sign language in college last year and it was fun. There are two things that are important to remember, it is not the english language with your fingers and the other is it is a repition type learning. it is neat, another good part of it was that there were hardly any guys that took it so i was in a room with almost all females for three-four hours. I highly recommend ASL to anyone.
Pep, you tour of the US sounds good. When you get bored when you get to Ohio let's take of and go, my truck will make it.
What would I like to do:
If I could do it I'd quit work and just farm, I've always enjoyed it but the operations I've been around would have to get bigger for me to buy it out. It would be a big investment to buy out two that would sell out to me but I don't think it's profitable enough to recover my investment.
I would also like to build my own house, in fact I'm lookin for a house to buy now but seriously thinking of building on the back side of the family farm.
Right now I don't have to worry about being a good husband or father, I hope someday I have that worry. Of course that's like death, I want to go to heaven but not tonight.
Go to heaven someday. If hellis orse thatn some places i've been I want no part of it. I just hope they have a good bird dog for me up there, I know of one that's been sent there.
I have a list on me, printed reeeeeal smal and in my wallet and in my office hidden away for those especially brutal days.
#1 is to have a wife and a junior...carry on the name and legend. I also want to build a car, and rip it across the country, donating to each county I cross via speeding tickets. I also have had a thing for Ferraris since I was a wee lil guy, so I'd want to take the trip back in one.
hmm...my list is pretty diverse
