Flashing overdrive light
Every once in while my 1999 F350's overdrive light flashes and continues to flash until i restart it. At the same time the speedometer stops working.
Seems to happen on damp days..

Just had the same thing happen on my 99 F-350. It is the V.S.S.(vehicle speed sensor) on the rear differental. It was a snap to change. Just one bolt and an electrical plug. I went to Napa, Autozone, Pet Boys and O'reily's and none of them had the right part. I finally went to the stealership and it was only $20.00. That was cheaper than Napa. Hope this helps. Might be a good idea to have the codes pulled. I took mine in and after they pulled the codes (02 PSD 4x4, CC, SWB) and two weeks I had a new transmission. When they dropped the pan there was a bunch of metal in it.
