poly mounts or rubber? need quick info...

I need to know if anyone replaced their rubber body mounts with polyurethane mounts? I have to replace my 2 rear mounts and for almost the price for the retainers and rubbers for one mount i can get the poly mount set from NPD.

What are the pros/cons with poly mounts?
thanks

Poly will have less flex and give than the rubber. As for using poly in the suspension, they are a stiffer ride. rubber is smoother but dont last as long. Depends on what you want to do. Since these are body mounts, go for poly. You won't have to worry about em anymore. They won't be getting the use like in the suspension so they should out last the rest of the truck.

Good advice, as most people look at poly bushings as being rock hard. Not true. I have a Daystar master bushing kit on my Bronco, all poly suspension AND body bushings. They do not "give" like rubber, but are not rock hard either. They eliminate most of the body roll and porpoising of the Bronco. If you plan to keep the truck for a while, it is a great mod to help the stability. I have used poly's on nearly every truck I've owned for the past 20 years. It's one of the first things I do to a rig. They will out last rubber ones by 2-3X.
