Was wondering if any of you have run a Dynagear #601-1043 DM-57 oil pump? I have a 1969 250 Pickup change to a 390 was a 360. Use 390 rods and 360 pistons. Have a clearance on mains .0025 and a clearance on rods .002. I think this is a high pressure and high volume pump. Going to put restrickers in lifter gallerys and have dove roller rockers that I will be running. Have read any wher e from a 1/4 allen bolt drill to 1/32 to holley main jets .090. Oh was bored .30 over and balanced. All new motor parts got this truck from my neighbor that bought it new and couldn't drive nor more. Truck is in great condition.
I've never seen that brand. But the part number looks a lot like the Melling 57HV that many of us run.
I run the Melling HV pump. I don't believe it's high pressure. I run the Edelbrock Aluminum heads with no restrictions. But I run an FT pan that holds about 10 quarts and uses a rear pickup. I'm sure my vlave train is swimming, but I have no oil pressure issues so far.

Yes that is just a Melling High Volume pump.. the DM stands for Dynagear Model and of course 57 the # for melling..Its not a High pressure pump..
There is NO reason to run a high pressure pump for mild built street/stip application's....high Pressure Pumps are made for High RPM race engine that run larger tolerence's for less drag on there components.. to assure proper Oiling!!
