MP EFI system (with the stock 400)
thanks for any help that can be given
The only questions you have to answer is to go with stock parts,,, or use aftermarket?
Obviously the power windows, and the fuel injection set up is gonna be after market...
Althought you can make stock parts work for your power window conversion ..
hi When i rebuild my 79 F-150 4x4 Xlt. I took the A/c out of another truck and put in my truck and the pwer windows and lock came out of a 85-93 Ford trucks. I didn't take much to add them one hole in the fire wall the wireing harns from the truck that had the A/c. engine braket for the pump. for the windows, the 85 truck that i got the power stuff out of had a individe wiring harns for the window and the lock. It didn't take long to add all the parts too the truck. I thing that from the junk yard that i got all the parts for less then two hundred dollars and it all work good ,but i never charge the A/C up because I like having the window down.
have any way you do i .
I installed power windows in my '73 from a '86 Bronco. I used the entire wiring harness (which is prewired for power locks), once the holes are drilled and wires run, it's a matter of plugging it all together. I cut the motor end off the '86 regulator and welded it on the '73 regulator and it all bolted up after that. It's been working great for over a year. Plus it's prewired for power locks - so that will be coming soon...
There is no stock EFI system for the 400. Your only options are a aftermarket throttle body system or a custom made multiport injection system - $$$...
