Where the sam heck are the numbers on my I6, I know I'm getting old and all but geeze.
I bought this "86 4X4 a couple of months ago and have emmissions issues as well as tuning problems, I am thinking someone dropped in a later, but still carbed motor.
I'm not certain if the block casting numbers are in the same place on the 300 as i've never had to look. But on most smallblock ford V8's they are cast into the block right above the starter. Look there to see if you can find them. (removal of starter might be needed.)
As far as i know, no carb'd 300's were built past 86...everything after that was EFI.
