off road carburetion

I was trying to climb a hill in my truck, and it was doing pretty well until it decided to shift out of 4 wheel drive (another question for another time) and after getting stuck off camber it sputtered and died.

I looked on the edelbrock website and they have spring loaded needles and seats. Will this fix the problem? Anyone have any tips or tricks?
THanks alot,
AirSmitty

Might help a little, definitly won't fix your problem though. The only carbs I've found to be worth anything offroad are a 2bl motorcraft, quadrajet, and a Holley truck avenger. Normal holleys can be made to work with numerous mods. I havent found the ebok carbs to be good for anything.

I put them in my carb and it helped some. but what really helped is there is a passage way between both fuel bowls. I put a chunk of fuel safe hose in there so when it goes off camber the fuel does not flood one side of the engine out. This in it's self helped me alot.

btw this is on a edelbrock 600 cfm carb.

Get a fuel pressure regulator set it to 3-4psi. adjust the floats so that they are 1/2" from the edge of the cover. You need the cover upside down when doing this. Block the cross over passage like memtioned above.

Wow, Randy, didn't know you were still around. Haven't seen you in awhile. Hows that monster truck conversion looking?
