trans?
i have a 94 f-150 i put a 95 mustang 5.0 liter ho in it i noticed that the trans.
torque converter has sticker says reman. any way there is no tv cable i have accl. cable and a second cable that i think goes to cruise control box on fender well. i also looked at the trans. and i dont see a lever that would be for tv. just shift cable. i bought a filter and fluid kit and the kit matches e4od. sometimes all of a sudden it will shift from 2nd or third down to first,then back to the normal. so do they all have tv cable? thanks moondogg

Picked up a rebuilt 351 M and C-6 tranny for my '78 F150 4X4 and attempted to put in today . When attempting to put the transfer case on the tranny we found the output shaft to be almost 3" too long to bolt up .
My case is a NP 203 and the '77 4X4 the new set up is out of is also a NP case but we can not read the model on the plate .
Have never encountered this with a C-6 before when coupled to a NP case and
assumed they were all the same length on the 4X4 set up .
Any info on this longer output shaft would be appreciated .
Would also like to know how the front plate on the transmission inside the bell housing is supposed to be taken off . can't see any threaded holes to thread in larger bolts and push it off , nothing to attach a puller or slide hammer to , will not budge from any pries ar tapping ??
My tranny only needs a pump which I could swap from this longer one of I could get the front plates off .
