truck cab needed

i have a 1985 ford pick-up that has been sitting for 6 years .well we went out to mess with it and it fired right up with a fresh battery and good gas
i think i want to restore the truck but the cab is rusted
anyone know where you can get a cab (is it even called a cab?)
and if you buy the cab do you have to get one with a title
im not sure how the vin number on the dash comes out

thanks any info will help the beast out of the woods

any cab from 80 to 96 will work, but 87 and newer would need to rewired using the harness from your current cab you have, that is unless your truck is efi.

How bad is the cab? I thought mine was going to be rusted beyond repair but if your good with a welder it might be cheaper to fix it, just a thought. Check out my before and after pictures in my gallery. I believe that your current fenders, hood, and doors will fit a later cab. As for the beds, any 1980 to 1996 bed will bolt up the only difference is that 1987 to 1996 have different shaped body lines over the wheel wells.

Buy a mig for that kind of work (TIG is the best but those are expensive and harder to use than a MIG), Stick welders are a PITA to use for body work.
