Just got a 67 F250 with a 390 motor in it so they tell me
How can I tell what year it is. Where the 352 is a 86 on it to
Is there other places to look that will have the 390 tage
or numbers on it.
If the motor isn't stock for the truck, which I suspect it is, look on the sides of the block for a casting number. This should be close. Example: C7AE = '67 automotive, D3TE = '73 truck.
Keep in mind that they used earlier blocks in later trucks, so it's not completely exact. Also, if you find anything later than a '67 block in your truck, it's not original.
