superchip problem??????
Just got my superchip progremer today, started to hook it up,
-disconected fuel pump.
-Plugged it in to the truck, with ignition off.
-It told me to hit the > when ignition was off, did it.
-then told me to turn ignition on, but not the truck. did it...
-then it kept flashing between "turn ignition on" and "do not start engine". Every minute or so it would beep once and continue with the same message.
I waited 7 to 8 minutes, and it continued to flash with the same instructions.
I unplugged the module and started over again. But the same thing happened. Can anyone help, I think I might just be a little retarded, and can't read directions, but I reviewed them 3 times, and can't find any error in my process.

I have the same engine, and I didn't have to disconnect the fuel pump. The instructions say to disable the fuel pump *only if you are prompted*
The Programmer didn't prompt me to disable the fuel pump. Installed the 87 octane program without a problem...Kevin
