4X4 troubles, need help

when I bought my 90 bronco II a couple weeks ago the four wheel drive would'nt engage (electric shift T-case). I pulled the shift motor off and tested it like a friend told me how to test it, and it works fine. Put it back on the T-case and pushed the button and nothing happened. I kept pushing the button and noticed a clicking sound (like an elec. solenoid would make) coming from the drivers side rear floor. I tracked it down to the electronic circuit board thats behind the kick panel near the back seat behind the access panel driver side. when I push the 4X4 button it clicks, about three seconds later it clicks again. like the relay is overloading and kicking off. what would cause this? is the circuit board bad? I dont think you can replace the relay on the board. I shifted the T-case with a pair of vise grips while I had the motor off and it shifts fine. please give me any info that you have on this. I would like to get it fixed before the snow starts to fall here in Ohio.

thanks in advance,

Best way I know to fix the problem is put in a manual T-Case.One thing to try is get someone to put it into 4 wheel drive while your under the truck, hit the electrict moter to see if it goes into 4 wheel drive..If it does the motor is bad.Yea I know you pulled it and it work, but alot of times it will not work under a load.JMO
