64 radiator replacement

gilligan says i have to post or they may never get off this island...so here we go.

I have a 64 F-100, 3 on the tree, 223 motor with a radiator in very bad shape. Not worth fixing according to the local repair shop. The only place i can find this radiator is dennis carpenter or some place in AZ that actually builds them (4 weeks wait). I replaced a 65 F100 radiator one time with a radiator out of a chysler v-8 that bolted right up and had correct inlet/outlet placement. My question is...does anyone know what radiators will bolt up to my 64 without a huge hassle? Hard not to drive ole Fred for a month!! Thanks for the help!

do you think that radiator will fit into a 64? Are the 65 and 64 different in that area? I wouldn't think that they are. Anybody know? thanks for the reply 44.

My truck's PO replaced it with a Caterpillar radiator. It ain't exactly a direct bolt on, but it fits pretty well. It doesn't overheat either.
