Front Leaf Spring Change?

Can I change the front leaf springs on my 79 F250 4x4 to 3 or 4 leafs instead of the standard 2 leafs? I carry a plow so I would like to beef it up. Anyone know the length of the springs? Will I have to change anything else other than tha Pitman arm?

Mine has 3 leafs, don't know if they are stock/original or not. Even at that they are flat and need to be rearched.

Just add a add-a-leaf to carry the plow.

And I have 3 on mine. I dont know if that is because its a crew cab or not. Im looking for new ones right now and all I find is 2 leafs.
