Thanks for the info. So you have both a Truxedo and an Access Limited, or did I misunderstand you comment? If you have both, how do the two compare (i.e., which one would you go with if you had to do it all over again)? Where did you find the Access Limited on sale with free shipping?
Sorry nope I only have the Truxedo. I initially was going to get the Access but found the Truxedo for cheaper. I have had it over a year now, but Truck Add Ons ran a Christmas sale and I got it on sale plus free shipping...at the time.
I went with the tonneau master roll up vinyl. My father bought the access and his leaked and he had to go back and have some weather striping installed. I haven't had any problems and mine was about $50 cheaper. The two were almost identical.
I just got a price on the 'roll-n-lock' company located in Ft. Lauderdale. They quoted me $972 for a cover for my '02 scab. I don't think so.
Looks like I'm back to looking for a hinge frame soft cover to fit behind the tool box. Why don't any of these companies have prices listed? I gotta go create a freebie email address in order to contact them and get prices. I'm not going to have my email handed to a bunch of companies I don't even know.
Why are most of you who posted above going with Roll Up Vinyl which is relatively insecure and doesnt last as long compare to the Lexan made Roll Up by Retrax. Just curious what I am missing here? Is it about price, or is there something I should know about getting a soft soft top?

First issue with me is the price. I really don't want to pay $700-$800 or more.
Second is more of a minor issue, but there is still a question in my mind as to the watertightness of some of the Roll-n-Lock/Retrax/Peragon type covers, and third, while the Roll-n-Lock/Retrax/Peragon types offer superior security, I won't be using my truck as a storage bin long enough for things to be stolen. I want to use my truck to carry things, not store things.
Fourth is I believe that there are some soft vinyl vendors that have a lifetime warranty/replacement on their vinyl covers (I can't remember which one at the moment), which sort of levels the playing field when it comes to length of life.
Thanks BlueFX4 I went out to sportmaster website and looked at the tonneau, and love it! This cover fits all my criteria! While on the website I went to "dealer locater", and found 4 dealers close to me. My next day off I'm headed off to talk with them and see one upclose. If I buy it I'll let everyone know how it works out.
I went with soft because I just wanted something to cover the bed so I can throw stuff back there when it's raining or whatever. But for the most part I rarelt keep things in the bed not even overnight so security wasn't a big issue for me. However, I am looking hard at an Undercover hard cover for my new truck when it comes in. Anyway, the soft has served me when with no probems or issues.
I've got the Truxedo Low Profile cover and love it. I too looked at Access and decided on the truxedo for the following reasons.
1. Weathersealing.......Truxedo has actual rubber seals front and rear..the Access cover I saw didnt seem as watertight.
2. Security...the truxedo locks every time you close it by design....the Access you had to engage extra locks on each side to secure it. Once you close it and lock the tailgate it will deter a less than professional thief.
3. Price......I found my truxedo low profile on E-bay for 371 delivered.....can't beat that deal.
4. Appearance.....it doesn't stick up much higher than the back of the bed, and has all black frame rails (like the Access limited)
