Hey Folx,
Just got me a 05 king Ranch and im loving it. One thing i dont like however is the small 245/75 tires. THose need to be 305/75 at least.
What i am asking is how wide the King ranch 18" in wheels are and what the max size tire i can throw on it. HOw hard is it to recalibrate the Speedo?

Stock tires on an 05 KR should be LT275/70Rx18E the 245/75 are for 17" rims stock on an 05 SD

Reason: Additional Information
The 8 inch wheels will hold 315s fine. I have 315s on a 7 inch stock wheel and have had no issues. As for recalibrating of the speedo- you can get yourself a programmer and fix the speedo and optimize air/fuel ratio or you can go to ford and have them do it. Ford did it once for free and I paid $40 another time. It is easy for them if they are knowledgeable. Very tough for a first timer. It only matters if you are in a hurry or paying by the hour. They told me $40 and I was out in 15 mins.
Currently there are NO handheld programmers for the SuperDuty line that will recal the speedo. You will need to go to the dealer ( for tires 35" and under) or use a Superlift Tru-Speed box and do it yourself.
