Key in the ignition chime
How do I stop that annoying ding! ding! ding! on my Ranger when I want to leave the key in the ignition and the driver's door open?

Key in the ignition chime
It depends on how you disable the circuit.
Don't pull the fuse.
Pull the signal buzzer or remove the ignition lock and pull the litlle plastic leaf switch out.
I disable the buzzer in all my cars one way or another. I also carry a spare key in my wallet. Most of my cars are set up to the same key also so I only need one key for my Fords. My daughter's 90 Trooper and son's 86 Starion are set up with the same key also. Therefore 2 keys work everything but I only carry the Ford key.
