Anybody out there know which wire goes to which on the 65 Ford Warner Overdrive Solenoid. The harness has two blue wires. One has a yellow stripe I believe. There are two colored wires coming out of the solenoid. Does it matter which way they go? I dont want to blow anything. I imagine these solenoids are expensive...
The website referenced can be a bit confusing, as the author did a real "customizing" of his OD controls. He does have a diagram of the original controls, but it is difficult to read.
IFF the 65 OD wires like my 64 OD, the solenoid should have a blue and an orange wire coming out of it.
The blue wire connects to the blue wire from the overdrive relay.
The orange wire connects to the blue wire with orange stripe from the kickdown switch.
