Well i rebuilt a 2.8 and went with the offy intake and for the temp stat hole it was only like 1/4 big. So my temp sensor which is aftermarket would not fit in it so i had to adapt it bigger then longer for the sensor to fit in i used brass fittings. Well it seems to take a long time before it reads temp. Then i drove it for the first time for a few miles and it wouldnt read untill i came to a stop then while going down the road it drops so im guessing its getting air and making it read cold. Suggestions to fix this other than tapping the hole cause it would be a pain or if anyone else has put an offy intake on and figured out a way?
http://www.racerwalsh.com/v6_3.8.htm scroll down and its on there that is where i got it. Or PAW has them. Look to spend alot i paid 350 for mine plus you need a new water jacket and that was another 30. Plus you have to modify a few things to make it work like bypass, throttle, valve cover. Then you have to modify the water jacket to make everything work. Do do like i did and use a mech temp gauge it wont work get an elec or use your existing elec temp gauge.
