OK, i'm prolly gonna get a Weiand intake and i realize that it doesnt have egr, i was just wondering if it is really important. Also, when i put a new 4bbl on it where do i run my vacuum lines, if there are any just runnin loose.

EGR is definitly not important. In fact if you pull the spacer off the intake I bet you'll find that the egr passage is almost completely blocked with carbon, I know mine was. You can junk all the emissions vacuum lines. This includes all the egr stuff and the vacuum switch thats in water neck. Just put a pipe plug in the water neck. You only need one PORTED vacuum line from the base of the carb to the front of the distributor for vacuum advance. There are two inlets on the dist. The one farthest forward is the vac timing advance. The other is to retard timing as idle and decel (according to my book) which you don't want-its only for emissions. Use your timing light to make sure you get 10-15 degrees of vac advance over the 32-34 degrees of mechanical advance you should already have. The only other vacuum lines you should have are for the brake booster and heater/AC controls if you have AC. These all come off the unported tree at the back of the manifold. Hope this makes sense.
