Hi,
I have a 1988 Ranger 4 cyl. 4wd 2.5l.
I bought the truck with a bad ignition switch, I thought it was just the cylinder, but it appears to be the whole assembly.
I only paid $100.00 for the truck and I want to start it to see if anything else is wrong.
I want to install by-pass switches.
How can I do this?
First I would put the key in the "run" position. Then get a screwdriver or any type of metal and put it on the 2 posts on the starter solenoid (on inner fender wall) which will complete the circuit and turn over the engine.
