I have a 94 XLT with a 2.3L 4Cyl motor 5 spd black ranger and about 145,000 miles driven, I think that I have taken fairly good care of it over the past 130000 miles that I have had it.
About 6 months ago I decided that I was going to replace the PCV valve, since it hasn't ever been done (to my knowledge). I thougt how hard could it be, Positive Crankcase Ventaliation.. umm should be on the valve cover or at least close to it.
In the time that I have had it, I have removed the head twice and changed spark plugs oil coolant, and numorous other things, and never recall seeing a PCV.
Now that I have had this PCV Valve in my glove box for 6 months now, and spent hours upon hours looking for the stupid thing under hood, I still cannot see it anyweres.
I really don't want to pay the 55 dollars an hour at the Ford house, so if anyone could tell me were the PCV is located I would be completely grateful!
Look on the side of your engine under the intake manifold for a metal box called the oil separater. Coming out of the box will be a hose going up towards the intake manifold runners. Follow the hose to where it connects to the PCV.
