My 04 F-350 4x4 CrewCab SRW sits a good 2.5-3 " higher in the rear..I have seen front leveling kits which consist of 1 extra leaf for the front on each side ...has anyone used these?...I am considering a plow so It will need a little help....if so Whose kit did you use
Using the add a-leaf will give you about 2-2.5" in height increase. but with a plow on the front , your going to loose a good portion of that lift. What I did was put on an add a-leaf, and custom made my own mini 2.5" spring pack and put that underneath. This gave me about 4.5" of lift, without sacrificing my ride quality.
So, where does a guy find an add a leaf spring?
How much do they cost?
How do you get 2 to 2.5" of lift out of a 1/4" spring?
Sounds dumb, but help me out here.
Never mind, It has to do with the arch. Right?
I used the Rough Country 2" add a leaf,, 80.00 bucks on ebay and about 3 hrs in the driveway start to finish. Raised my truck about 1 7/8 after it was all said and done and the ride is not much different than stock, a little firmer but not what i would call harsh and not near as much lean in corners either. Money well spent I think.
