Question Snowplowers

What do you guys use for driveway markers. And if they have to be painted what color paint, tape etc. I justed checked a couple of web sites wanting $35.00 a dozen. I know you guys have a better and cheaper way.

If I use them at all, I usually use some 1"x2" scrap pine, cut to what ever length you want, and paint the tops orange or what ever fluorescent color that floats your boat.

Just be careful, it's better to have something that when hit, wont cause to much damage.

I'm not talking us, but customers who may hit the stakes....Thin wood will break, rebar will not.

WOW, the thought never crossed my mind. Sure hope you didn't find this out by experience. Give customers something to ditch about, and they will. Thanks for the info.

I have had good luck using wooden silt fence stakes, also used as tomato stakes. 1 x 1 x 5' hardwood. As Yeti said I use fewer each year as I learn the driveways.
