1978 supercab
Hi guys! I have a 1978 f250 supercab 4x4. And I have a couple questions.... First: How do I find out if it's an original highboy? And does this make a big difference in value should I sell it? Also, just how freakin rare is this truck?! I can't seem to find many online at all, anywhere!
Thats the model im restoring right now... great truck ...

Welcome! You may want to read the FAQ post at the top of the forum. Your '78 would not be considered a "highboy" - which is just a nickname given to all pre-'77.5 F-250 4x4's - but that doesn't really make it worth any less. Around here the only thing that really seems to matter is how bad the rust is.

the highboys were made prior to 1977.5 some people don't know this and advertise it as a highboy and many people get taken for this. i saw someone the other day advertising a 1978 F-350 4x4. Well there was no such thing done unless a frame change was done. He kept trying to tell me that it's completely stock and nothing has ever been done to it. He said he was the original owner. something smelt fishy. Hope this helps.
