it's a windsor for sure. the M disappeared from the Bronco about 15 years before yours was made Most likely, yours is a MAF FI 351W w/ an A4OD transmission, 8.8" rear w/ 3.55 gears front and back. There are places you can decode your VIN, and the tags on various bits... but if it's a '96 with a 351, it's about 95% likely to have the specs I listed.
Thanks for the reply. What I really would like to have is something from Ford or a recognized authority on all the specifications that are available such as:
cam specs (roller cam?)
MAF and injector specs
throttle body size
E4OD tran gear ratios
transfer case gear ratios
axle spline number (I think bronco 8.8's are 31 spline, what about the front)
I have a '93 5.0 mustang and there are some excellent books that supply all the nitty gritty on everything you would ever want to know about mustangs.
not that I know of... but your Ford dealer can tell you most of that if you have all the little codes. I'm 99.9% sure that front and rear are 31 spline, and your injectors won't be more than 24, but more likely 18lb/hr. If you look through my older posts, or do a search on injector size, you'll find some info on the science of injector sizing.
As for the gear ratios, I'm no help. I guess my best advice is to call your friendly ford parts guy and see what he can tell you.
