Banks Six Gun Dyno numbers

Finally,

Here are the numbers that some of you have requested. I don't have a scanner or I would have scanned them into my gallery. Hope this helps those of you that asked me to do this for a comparison.

1- Dyno Run .002 Max Torque 475.8 Max power 285.4
2- Dyno Run .003 Max Torque 660.1 Max Power 380.5
3- Dyno Run .004 Max Torque 717.0 Max Power 404.6
4- Dyno Run .005 Max Torque 720.4 Max Power 409.75
5- Dyno Run .006 Max Torque 742.4 Max Power 413.9
6- Dyno Run .007 Max Torque 744.2 Max Power 410.0

I have the Six Gun w/speed loader, 4"exhaust from the turbo back w/cat and Banks Muffler.

WOW- those are some stoutu numbers there J !!!
well done !

but the best part about it is what it does on the street with that kind of torque !

presume run 1 was a baseline stock run ?
that is actually 10 hp more than I've seen on most 6.0L.....
are the rest of the runs at differente levels of the six gun ????
is that why the climb ?

Each run was done at different levels. The 1st run was #1 which is close to stock. The big gains are 3,4 and 5. 5 and 6 and sometimes setting 4(wet pavement) are pretty unmanageable on the streets without a load. I leave it at #3 and if I need to pass a dodge I put it on 5. I know that Banks is expensive but I am pleased with the results so far. I will take a picture with my Digital camera of the actual dyno page and if it comes out okay I will actually post the results that way.

Those are some good #'s. How far apart were the runs taken? Just wondering if heat skewed the numbers a bit. Were you monitoring EGT's? or IAT?

I spoke with a service writer at Ken Grody Ford (Buena Park Ca.) about this. They used to install the Banks package and cover it under warranty. He said Ford used to "look the other way on this". But with the intro of the 6.0 they aren't takin any prisoners.

Depends on if you really care or not.....since Ford could not figure out the two minor issues I had that were more than a nuisance than anything and the Banks system(any system) fixed the issues, I really don't care what they say. Most of the systems you buy stand behind their products but you may get some grief.

I also talked with Banks, and they said they helped remedy some problems with the early 6.0s Go figure?

Your doing pretty good on the RWHP and torque . The book I have infront of me says that banks' best gain was 384.4 horse and 690.6 lb-ft of torque. They tested it on a truck completely stock with an auto. I have a 6 speed manual with the cat and muffler cut off. I wonder if I'm getting what you are? Do you have a stick or an auto?

my 2 cents
