Navigation System Mapping Software CD problem
I was using CD #9 (Southeastern States) when making a trip from Atlanta, Georgia to Burlington, North Carolina. I found there was no mapping detail for North and South Carolina. I called Nav Tech and found that the mapping detail for North and South Carolina is not on CD #9 , but is on CD #8. This is the 2004 version of the Ford Mapping CD's. The CD's are not labeled correctly. Ouch!
I also verified that the Satellite signal quality is based on the colors of the North, South, East or West Letter being displayed. (N-S-E-W)
Red letter = bad signal
Yellow letter = weak signal
White letter = Good signal
My Navigation system always shows a Red Letter. I would guess this is why the clock does not set itself when the ignition is turned on. Looks like a trip to the service department.
