There are lots of opinions on the best oils. If you haven't seen it already there is a seperate forum for luricants and oils where you can get your specific questions answered. As far as which one is best that would be a personal preference that only you can decide. Rotella and Delo both seem to have a good following though. As long as you use an oil that meets or exceeds the API requirements for your engine you should be fine. Check your owner's manual, under the hood, or maybe even on the dipstick to find your API requirements.

Just to clarify Mobil 1 is diesel rated, but not for use in the PSD or any other HEUI diesel engine. Mobil Delvac 1 is the Synthetic Mobil oil rated for HEUI diesel engines, per Mobil themselves. Shell Rotella T 15w-40 is not a synthetic oil. Shell does make a Synthetic blend oil that is diesel rated. The fact our engines have a turbo has nothing to do with why Mobil 1, or other diesel rated oils are not rated for our engines. It is the anti-foaming properties needed for the high pressure oil system for the injectors.
