My Ford dealer told me $625 + tax for changing the injector o-rings in my '97 F250. For another $70 they would do the glow pugs at the same time?
Is this reasonable, or should I look for someone else to do it?
70 extra for the glow plugs isn't a bad deal, but the o-rings are only like 140 for parts, so unless you REALLY feel like paying that much for something you can do for $250 yourself (glow plugs, o-rings, and assuming you have NO tools) easily over a weekend, I'd pass...
Replacing the O-rings isn't difficult, but a little time consuming if you haven't done it before. The high cost at the dealership is because of the time it takes to pull the valve covers, etc. If you did it yourself, you'd be able to save most of the expense, though I'd allow a weekend if you've never done it before.
