Aluminum tailgates
I have a '93 F-150 that is in great condition, except for the tailgate. The aluminum parts are fine, and I plan to redo the painted parts, but the black strip (I don't know what it's made out of) is falling off. I tried some glue behind it but it just continued to peel off. Anybody got suggestions? I wouldn't mind changing it as long as I keep the black. In fact, I saw a tailgate that had the black with the round Ford logo, as opposed to the big chrome letters. I wouldn't mind something like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
