I'm doing an engine swap and before I put the engine back in I was woundering if I should change all of the clutch parts. I have a new Disk but the pilot bearing, throw-out bearing and the clutch plate are fine. I have heard that you should just change everything but I don't want to spend all that money if I don't need to. Thanks for any help.
most people change everything while it's out and easy to get to so it dont have to be done a few months down the line.
Just like when i replaced the trans in my BII..i should have replaced the rear main seal on the engine but didn't. One month later i found myslelf pulling the trans out to put a new rear main seal on the engine..makes for double work. where as if you did it while it was easy to get to you wont have to do it later. It's up to you. If you feel it don't need to be done then don't do it.
