too cool on highway?

When doing city driving, my temp guage stays steady right on the N or NORMAL. When I get going on the highway, the guage drops quite a bit below the N on the cooler side. The heat is just OK when moving. I have replaced the Tstat twice with 195 tstats (stant and robert shaw). I'm wondering if a fan clutch could be causing this? Usually though, the fan stops engaging as much though...this would be the opposite. Any ideas?

It's a 93 f150 5.0L

DBUCK50 I have seen this before & it seem to be a simple fix, when you reinstalled the thermostat is it similar to the OEM type that has the pintlet hole on the flat side of the thermostat? If it does have the pintlet on the body place the the hole @ the 3:00
position. I know this may sound unreal but give it a shot!

I don't know if it has a pinlet hole, but what would putting it at 3 o'clock do?
