Where are all the Ford girl's around here(home not FTE) I mean if I have to hear I like chevy or dodge out of another girl's mouth I'm going to pull my hair out .
Dad and Mom keep asking when are you getting married? we want some grandkid's , but I don't think I could marry a girl who like's a chevy, or dodge, we got to have something in common and a man only has so much his truck is a very important thing .
But I will hold out, because some where out there is a fine young girl, driving a big Ford truck .
Heck, be happy if ya find one that's into any truck. If you at least start her in a Chev, you might stand a chance of eventually getting her into a Ford..
Most I talk to, it's "I like Hondas", "Toyota's are nice", "My Hyundai is awesome." or "I like those little fast cars with the cool stereos and lights."
Enough to make ya take a bus, or a vow of celibacy. Thankfully, I'm slowly converting one. She started off in a Suzuki tin-can, totalled it.. Got her to go domestic, she picked out a Cavalier.. Yippie. Countless prob's later, she's stepped up to a Jeep. It's a slow process. Next step, I'll get her into an Explorer or (Dare I hope) an Expedition (And yes, we're looking to get a bigger boat, so it's justified ).. From there, who knows, I think that'd be enough to make me happy, but if she suddenly decides she wants an F250, more power to her..
For now, I consider the Jeep a personal conquest. This girl thought anything bigger than, well, a Cavalier, was "wayyy too bigg" for her to drive. Now, she won't even ride in a small car, and can't stand driving anything low slung. She gripes that the Ranger is too small now.. So, now she's gonna shame me into buying a 1/2 or 3/4 ton.

AGREED!!!!!!!
Aren't you tired of the grandkid request thing? I'm 24 and in the same boat so you aren't alone. Maybe we should start our own forum on that one. I think a little differently, somewhere out there there is a girl that at least drives a Ford, wants a truck or at least wants a man with one, who likes to hunt, likes dogs, likes huntig with dogs, likes me and the occasional beer. Maybe we have set our standards to high fordbeast.
Guys...The girl doesn't have to want her own truck. As long as she's OK with you having yours and doesn't mind that you spend time and money on it, what's the diff? My wife is like that and it works out great. She's only driven the F150 once...to take me to the hospital with a shattered heal. She likes V8 RWD cars, and loves her '96 Cougar. Before that she had a Mark VII. She thinks the truck is too big, and is afraid to scratch it. I've got no problem with that, in fact I kinda like it that way. We sure would like some grandchildren, though.
LOL! I am fortunate enough to have a girl who into cars... so I'll take it... granted, she is very much the Euro car snob and owns a '03 MINI Cooper S, a '97 BMW M3, and a recently purchased '73 Volvo P1800. She hates my van except when we need to haul something big and dirty. She can't understand my love of late 70's Fords at all and would rather me get a Dodge Cummins when I buy another truck...
Of course, because she has so many cars, I'm usuing working on hers and have no time to work on mine... like right now I'm quickly learning the joys of dealing with a 32 year old Volvo wiring harness...

Reason: .
When I met my wife she was driving a Chevy beretta that had a Hydrolic clutch that had a broken line and her boyfriend couldnt fix it .well she asked me to look at it I did like I said it had a broke line so I called to order one 285.oo they wanted for a line so I went to My buddys line shop and had him make me a new line 25.00 Any ways 2 weeks later she broke up with her Boyfriend and called me and the rest is history >>>First thing I did was trade that chevy in on a New Truck for her and shes been FORD ever Since
Been teaching my 3 year old daughter about Ford's since birth. Who know's, maybe in a few years she'll be out in the garage with me building a home for some of those motors I stashed away! At this point she really thinks she can and will be driving a Ford truck! For some reason she just Loves the sound of those headers and dual exhaust. Even the sound of my diesel does something for her. There's no doubt in my mind which trucks are going to be the best on any playground she's around!
As for a wife who has the same desire for Ford trucks as we do, Good Luck finding her! While my wife let's me do just about whatever I want to my trucks, she has no desire to own one or fix ours. At this point in her life her Windstar is just fine. She does however attend and participate in all of the shows, mud bogs, jamborees, etc. that we attend throughout the year. She is the best in getting everyone together and ready for something she probably could do without. I wouldn't trade her for all of the Chevy's or Dodge's in the world. Now another Ford SuperCab or CrewCab, well.........
Oh yeah, there is the deal I made with her about my next project. A Jeep for her. Been trying to convince her to go with an older Bronco! She's not changing her mind. I'll keep working on her. In the event I can't sway her I'll gladly put together whatever she wants!
I too found a girl that is interested in cars to a degree. She loved the '03 Ranger FX4 I had, she likes the '97 F-150 I have now, but it all started with my '89 Firebird 350. She does however think I'm crazy for fixing up a '86 full-size Bronco. Hopefully a new paint job will help that. But they are out there, just take time to find them, or in my case, for them to find you...
When I met my wife she wanted a beretta, found her one and 2,000 miles and a new motor, trans. and many other problems later we found her a 150 ex-cab. and junked the chevy.
Now the sad thing is I have a 99 250sd 4+4 with a v-10 4in lift, she parked hers and I see mine running all over town now. She took the change from small to big very well and dares people to get in her way when shes on the road.
Have not decided if it was a good thing to change her from small to big, but the chevy to ford I would not undo.
Back in 1981, I dated a Dodge Girl, a real Dodge Girl, from the commercials. Met her at work when she was flying out after filming one. Made the '80s Dallas cheerleaders look like sisters at St. Annes.
Once when we were goin to lunch on my motorcycle, she got off the bike and burned her leg on the pipes (even though I warned her about em before). Needless to say, after blistering one of her loveliest assets (among many), I got dumped!
I can vouch to be a ford girl. I love my truck and love working on it.
My problem is I can't find a guy who appreciates the fact that I am into working on trucks, hunting, camping and playing in the mud with atv's or trucks. The one time I did find a guy that even some what appreciated it, I had to dump him because HE wanted to drive MY truck every time we went somewhere. I don't mind taking my truck but I will be the driver
Oh well you can't have it all. Good luck finding ford girls. We seem to be getting rarer these days.
I would be fine with any girl that dosen't mind what I drive. Although someone that likes big trucks would be nice I don't care becuase I have one. I would actually rather her like small cars or maybe big cars. That way if the time comes for kids then I don't have to fight over who gets to keep the truck and who has to buy a car. Plus putting gas in one truck will cost enough, trying to keep two full would break the bank. It would be great if she liked classic cars and like working on them, that way we can both work on each others vehicles but she won't try to drive my truck. And we can have some cars with style too.
Been a Ford girl all my life, my grandfather was one of Fords top salesmen
But I did have a 67 Dodge Dart as my first car ...I was 15 what can I say ...
I love my beast and can't imagine driving anything else!!!
