Not enough RAM to run the burner correctly, gotcha. Just bring down the speeds like you have already, and you'll be set, unless you get more RAM and invest money in your machine. A lot of USB's are slow, and the computer a lot of times dosn't have the high output which is the 2.0v, they only have 1.0v but the device will be 2.0. Anyways, just keep the speeds down where you're computer functions properly, 8x is still a good writing speed.
