Winter Oil
Now we are facing winter, and it is due for an oil change to WINTER OIL, I need wise advice on what to use. I want him to be able to finish a gig, start up at-35 degrees below zero, and drive home, totally omitting the part about calling a tow truck.
The local stores seem to think all Canada is like Toronto, and stock only 15-40 diesel oil. Canadian tire has synthetic oil for $24Cdn for four litres. That makes for 3.6 containers to make 3 gallons x $24 + taxes + taxes = coming up to $120 for a change plus filter.
What other options are there? Any advice on grades, what synthetic to use, what oils to avoid, etc., would be appreciated.

Here is a link to a site that is pretty helpful and has a large list of acceptable oils for use in the PS. Just cut and paste and scroll down to the PS link.
