Swapping Mirrors...
I am looking at an '05 superduty that I like, but I don't want the trailer-tow mirrors....What are my options..??...are they hard to take off and relpace with standard mirrors..??..

It takes about 5 min. pop the covers off and remove 4 bolts, everyone else puts the trailer tow mirrors on, are you sure you want to take them off??? You could sell them and make good money and then buy the reg. mirrors for next to nothing.

I just converted from the poor visibility "sport" mirrors to the tow mirrors. It's an easy swap-took about 20 minutes per side-good directions on this site-just do a search. But why??
The tow mirrors when slid inward-stick out the same as the sport mirrors with much larger/better surface area. The stock spot mirrors are not much good, but the "sport" mirrors lack a spot mirror all together. There has to be a reason the tow mirrors are $300+ on ebay and the sport mirrors are only worth $40 or so.

I have a pair of "regular" mirrors I just took off my very new (less than 50 miles) F250. I would be happy to swap with you for yours and give some cash. I have the originial packing and assembly instructions - its easy 1 hour max.

Some folks just don't like the "TT" mirrors. I know I don't like them either. To me, they make the truck look something like Dumbo, and really get ridicules looking when they are extended out. But this is my own personal opinion and remember, to each is his own.

I just don't like the look of the "dumbo" mirrors, and I don't tow that often....Flip Flop, aI haven't bought a truck yet, but E-mail me at acpick@ hotmail and I'll contact you when I do and we can work out a trade for your mirrors in a few weeks....

I swapped the regular mirriors for the Power Towing Mirrors. I wish some one would have swapped mirrors with me. I have the regular power mirrors stored in the the shop. It took me about 20 minutes per side. There is a thread here on this site telling how to make the change.
