I have to replace my tires on my 93 Explorer 4X4, I drive on about 15 miles of gravel (which gets very muddy) and 30 miles of pavement everyday. We had the first snow fall today. I need a tire that will be good for snow, ice, mud and pavement as I plan to use these tires all year round.
Also what is the correct size of tire as the door sticker is worn off?
Might want to go with a good T/A tire. They are usually real good for your needs. The BF-Goodrich is one of the best. I would stick with the tire that is recommended...which in this case is the P rated tire. But go to the following URL and they will tell you what tire size you should be running.
I would use the LT tire. P is passenger cars, LT is for light trucks. LT tires are designed to carry more load and typically have stiffer sidewalls.
BFG tires have done me well so far. I really like the All Terrains I have on my truck. Planning to get a set of the Mud Terrains for the Bronco at some point in the future.
