Ya - I would have to say it sounds a tad high too - but hey. If it's the truck that you want then that's your call. These trucks hold their value so well - you gotta really look hard to find a screamin' deal.

Yeah, kind of what I was thinking. Of course I'll offer less, and I know aftermarket stuff doesn't add up very much. I'm trying hard right now to find the year-end sales for the 04's, but I'm sure as heck not going to get a PSD for my price range.
I'm also looking at a 2002 Superduty for $22,000. Pretty much the same as the above truck, but without the tinted windows, lift etc., PSD and 6 spd. It has the auto, and the 5.4, with only 55,000 miles. I drove that one and it seems strong. Today I'm driving the PSD 6 spd.
I wont be towing a lot, but I want the resale, reliability, and longevity of the diesel. Heck, you all know about it. I'd sure like to get a six speed, but I know they're rare. I might just have to settle for an auto.
I've been researching this forum pretty hard for everyones experiences and opinions, too.
Thanks for the help, any other opinions about a good year, or what not, are appreciated

If they tell you that it has this big lift ect. and how it costs money and ask them if they paid any extra for it?? And if they say yes, just tell them you will trade (make something up with a lift and lots of mods) and tell them they will have to pay up for it too. Makes every dealer Ive dealt with back down, unless they put it on a new pickup themselves.
