What does XLT actually mean?!
Donning flame suit--Ford could build a Ridgeline-like PU out of the Exploder, but Honda only sold 16000 in 2010 and only, only 9800 in 2011.
If Ford can't be bothered with a Ranger that sold 55,400 in 2010 and 71,000 in 2011, why produce something with sales figures that would be considered rounding errors when compared to the F150..... (why does Honda keep making it....?)
What I can't figure is why, if they sold 71,000 of an out of date vehicle with the s^^%^& engines they offered, why would they dump it? Minor tweek = renewed sales surge--but no, they don't call ME and get good ideas...they think everyone wants a Forrestall class pickup...

What were we talking about again??
Standard equipment on the XL model: 2.3L DOHC I-4 ($X@), 5 speed manual trans., Cargo box tie downs, AM/FM Stereo with clock, vinyl 60/40 split front seat, black vinyl floor covering, personal safety system, tire pressure monitoring system, securilock (c) passive anti-theft ignition system.
The Ranger XLT standard features include: XL standard features plus air conditioning, AM?FM-CD/MP3/SAT-capable stereo, cloth 60/40 split front seat, Color coordinated carpet and front mats, high series door trim with map pockets, Body color front and rear bumpers, chrome H-bar grille.
In addition, there are some options available on the XLT that are not available on the XL model, especially in the areas of wheel, radio systems and seating options.
In short, the XLT trim offers more standaed equipment and options than the XL (base) trim offers. The Sport and FX4 Off-Road trim lines offer even more in the way of standard equipment, options and capability than either the XL or XLT trimlines.
Nowhere in the brochure is there an explanation about what "XL" or "XLT" means. <label for="rb_iconid_14">
