disconnect oem fuel pump and install an electric fuel pump for carbs or possibly use a fuel pressure regulator with the existing fuel pump, your after 6 psi or so
I've done this conversion on my '84 Mustang 302. A Ford Motorcraft 2150 will bolt right up to the stock intake manifold. I got some screw in plugs and filled in all the senor and extra vacumn ports. I have Duraspark Ignition from an earlier 302. If you go for aftermarket parts you just need a carb, intake manifold, distributor and coil.
