one last exhaust question

ok, i was going to straight pipe my truck, but tonight i heard my cousins truck a chevy V6 (what a peace of crap) but i sounds just like a V8, hes got a flowmaster SI/DO (think is a 40) with the crome tips out the back. my question is will a 300 I6 sound the same or is it because his is a V6 not a I6.

THANKS ALOT !!! (this really is my last exhaust question)

v-6 and I6 are totally different things...the firing order has a lot to play as well as cylinder arrangment. heres what i suggest, if u can swing it. run the flow fer a while and then switch to straight pipe...i have sound clips of both if u want me to send...contact me and we'll see.

Thats the exact setup i have. It is loud as hell. I mean its not, but it is. I dont know how to describe it. Its not to loud when your inside, and its not throaty loud, but when you rev it up, its sweet, and thats the only way i can say it. So with that setup, you get less of a sound, but more of a volume if that makes sense. I never knew how it sounded til about 2 days ago when my dad drove it to test my new clutch. Its loud and he doesnt crank more than 2200 RPMs, i have fun pushin 4500.
