I have my truck leveled and have the twin bilsteins in the front now I want to know what sized tires I can put under the truck I would like to still be able to haul a 5th wheel trailer so what is the biggest tire that I can put under the truck without losing the 5th wheel and should I go with bigger wheels too and lastly I am changing gears from 3.73s and want to end up with a 4.10 gear ratio so what size tires would I go with to have that final ratio truck is 4x4,01,F-350,diesel, help please.
Here is a formula to use for figuring gear ratio and tire size from stock:
NewTireDia / OldTireDia x OldGearRatio = NewGearRatio.
If you want a 4.10 effective ratio after changing the tire size, just plug 4.10 in for 'OldGearRatio' in the equation.
33's should fit fine without any further lift and 35's are a possibility. I wouldn't go any taller than 33 though for pulling a fifth wheel. The trucks are tall enough stock that alot of fifth wheels wont tow level, raising the truck higher only makes it worse. Towing your trailer nose-up affects how it tows and also puts too much weight on the rear trailer axle.
going from 3.73's to 4.11's isn't really worth the effort, there won't be a noticable difference especially with the uber torque of a diesel. if you're going to go through the effort of regearing go at least 4.3 (if they offer them) or 4.5 to make it worthwhile.
