Well, I give up!

Been loking for reeplacement fenders, hood and grill for my 55 F-600 with no results for a long time. Been thinking about one of those tilt front ends made from fiber glass. Any one ever done this swap? Where did you buy the kit and what problems did you have with the swap? This is a pretty stout old hay truck and I have done extensive rebuilds to it. Just needs the cosmetic stuff to make it presentable. Thanks, Okie

Sounds like a good plan but remeber that the wheel openings in the front fenders are larger on the 3/4 ton and bigger trucks . If you can find out how much larger then it maybe an option to enlarge these openings. Let us know what you find out.

Thanks! I was under the impression that all the F series trucks from 53-55 were the same. The 9.00x20 tires will barely clear the wheel openings now, so I sure couldn't go with any smaller fender openings at all.

If you are restoring an F600 you definitely need the larger fenders..the mounting points are the same as the F100 but the wheel opening or wheel well is larger... I've seen them up here in Canada at swap meets but the fellas can't sell 'em because of the differnece and there's 1 Big Job restored for several hundred F or M100 around here.
