A good tune up. all plugs wires filters hoses...
Run good injector cleaner thru it, twice
Change all the fluids (oil, tranny, xfer case, rear axle...) to full synthetic
Change the airfilter to k&n type or do the cold air intake mod.
Lighten the load. Take out all the junk you don't need but keep in it.
A can of 104+ octane boost
Do a compression leakdown test before venturing serious capitol into an engine this old. Theres no sense throwing money at things like cam & rollers or headers& dual exhaust if what you really need is a rebuild.
