I said --- " Well dipstick get in gear and get it done then. I want to see this happen. Expecially with the story your telling me just doesn't coinside with the information you have. The only car I drive that is registered to my mother is my Pontiac GP. And your saying it was my White Camaro that did the job. I would love to see you explain to the judge on how a front wheel drive car can spin it's tires & have enough force to throw rocks hard enough to bust your windshield. By the way, whats the plate number you have?..."
Actually, you should have kept your mouth shut as soon as you realized he was using the plate from the GP. It would have been a lot of fun to have him, his attorney, and the judge "discover" this fact in court (real Perry Mason-style), at which point you'd ask the judge to immediately dismiss the case, because this was obviously a case of mistaken identity. All you'd have to do is produce a photo of the Grand Prix (it's not white, right) and the judge would have to grant the dismissal.
The most valuable information in the world is knowing something about your opponent that HE doesn't know YOU know. Knowing just WHEN to reveal that info makes it priceless. Think about it.
Quote:I Said in a very get out of my face voice --- "You should have not been riding my ***. We were in a 5 mph zone, I was doing 5 mph until you started riding my ***. I got sick of you being there so I kicked the throttle down & broke the tires loose just to get away from you. The rocks just happened to be there. Like I said before, I don't owe you anything. If you don't like it, then call the sherriff or whatever you have to do.
When I saw the thread title about you being arrested, my first thought was, "Why, stupid posts are not illegal. If so, I might be arrested also". Then I read the post in which you admitted before a few thousand here that you caused the windshield break .... not a really smart thing to do. Now he can have you served for Small Claims Court and use your own words to win a judgment. Just hope that he doesn't frequent the forum.

I know Jeff. I was thinking that at first but then became angry over the thought. I figured that I would call his bluff. I don't have time for courts, lawyers, or judges right now with the divorce still pending.

I never admitted that I caused his window to break. I said that I was trying to get him off my rear & the tires happened to break loose. the rock (if any) just happened to be there.
And how many windows have you seen break, spider, or shatter from a rock being kicked up from a tire at 5mph? Probally 20-30mph with the wheel spin?
A chip in the glass I can see. But the way he was making it sound is that I shattered his window.
The question still remains though is if indeed I did this, why didn't he approach me sooner. He approached me 3 weeks after the incident & I work around & near the man on a daily basis.
If he would have stopped me that night & confronted me about it, then it may be a different story. We did eat dinner at the same resturaunt that night (not together) & I also had a room in the same motel as he did.
I just think someone else did it or he did it himself & trying to pass blame back onto me.

Haven't I already revealed my identity here enough? Besides, he knows who I am & where I live. He is a coward that likes to start trouble. I guess he decided to intimidate me but I won't let it happen.

I was real calm in the whole conversation when it started. The more I thought about it & the more I was antagonized the more upset I became.

I prefaced my post with a direct quote which could indicate the probability of causation to a third party (judge). Will a stone traveling at around 36 feet per second chip a windshield? Probably. Can a chip migrate and become much larger? Absolutely.
Sometimes discretion can be the best defense and I fear you might be your own worst enemy in a court room. Lincoln said, "A man can suspect that I am a fool, but he cannot prove it until I open my mouth", good advise. I wish you well and hope this just goes away.

Just curious... don't they make glass chip repair kits?
Um... I realize this is a slight "break" in the discussion (pun intended), but unless there's a bad spider break in the windshield, I think you can get a glass repair kit at your local WalMart that will repair chips in your windshield. Anyone have any experience with these? If so, this minimalizes your buddy's complaint even more.
As for unnerving your pal, one that I heard about that causes no damage to the car is to discreetly reach under his car and pour some tranny fluid under his car every couple of days....
Day One,Wheel bearing grease on his door handles
Day Two,lay low,somebody is watching
Day Three,unhook his tranny linkage
Day Four,see Day Two
Day Five, vaseline his wipers and put a small smear of it at eye level, when he gets in,he will turn on the wipers to clean the view.oops.
Day six and seven, rest ITS THE WEEKEND!
New week monday
Ask if he wants to surrender.
If not, well hehehehe,Then the real fun begins.
Ha, I don't believe in vandalism, just a ball peen hammer to the knees. When in doubt, knock em out. If you knew the fellows I got that from.
Hey Parks. Be cool. My dad has always told me that there is a right time and a wrong time to do anything. And the wrong time is when there are to many bodies to hide. If you do get arrested, I wonder if we can change you avatar to soap on a rope. I still think you'll do alright. Hang in there my friend.
