on my 91 150, i would really like a tonneau cover. but i have a tool box that sticks out from the front of the box about 20 inches or so. and im keeping the tool box! i have seen a couple trucks driving around with boxes and covers. can you buy them to be used with boxes? or buy a long box one and cut it down? or will a short box work? any help???????????????????? nate
Best deal might be to find a custom shop (either auto or marine) and have them fabricate something for you (hopefully with industrial Velcro, not snaps). The "off-the-rack" tonneaus are pretty tight-fitted, and just cutting them off would leave either the front or back flappin in the breeze.
extang and truxedo both have a tonneau that will accommodate a truck box. you have to custom order them after measuring, but im sure they would look great
